Privacy Policy

Hello and welcome!

At Online Timer, we take data protection very seriously. This page aims to explain, in the simplest and most transparent way possible, what information we collect, why we do it, and what we do with it (or rather, what we don't do with it).

Our services are also governed by our Terms of Use.

1. The information we collect

The goal of our site is to offer you a simple and effective tool. Consequently, we collect the bare minimum.

Data you give us directly:

The timers you create: The title, duration, and settings (like the sound) of your timer are temporarily stored in your own browser. We do not have access to this data, and it is deleted as soon as you leave the site or close the tab.

Data collected automatically:

Technical data: Like most websites, we collect anonymized information such as your browser type, screen resolution, and country (inferred from your IP address) to understand how our site is used and to improve it. This data does not personally identify you.

2. How we use your information

In short: to make the site work and nothing else.

  • To operate the service: Display your timer, start the countdown, and play your chosen sound.
  • To improve Online Timer: By analyzing aggregated technical data, we can find out which features are most popular and resolve technical issues.
  • To ensure security: We monitor for unauthorized access attempts to protect the integrity of our site.

Promise #1: We never sell, rent, or trade your data to anyone.

Promise #2: We do not use your data to send you targeted advertising.

3. Data Storage (It's very simple)

Your timers and their settings are stored only on your device, in your browser's local storage. They are therefore yours and are automatically deleted at the end of your browsing session.

Anonymous technical data is kept for a period not exceeding 13 months.

4. Cookies and Trackers

We use a very limited number of cookies, only for essential technical reasons.

Strictly necessary cookies:

They allow us to remember your preferences (like the light/dark theme if we offer one) and are essential for the proper functioning of the site. You cannot refuse them.

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.

5. Your Rights, Protected by GDPR

As a user based in the European Union, you have full rights over your data.

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data.
  • Rectify inaccurate data.
  • Request the erasure of your data.
  • Object to the processing of your data.
  • Limit this processing.
  • Define directives regarding the fate of your data after your death.

To exercise these rights or for any questions regarding this privacy policy, you can contact us at any time at: contact@minuteur-en-ligne.com.

We are committed to responding to you within one month.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this privacy policy. If a significant change occurs, we will clearly indicate it on our homepage.
